July

Now that school is back in session, and the lazy days of summer are officially over, it makes me a little sad to look back at these pictures. We will miss sleeping in, playing outside until 9 pm, running through the sprinklers, swimming at Opa & Oma's, vacationing, and visiting with family from out of state.

Cole absolutely loves his little sandbox. There has not been a day that goes by where he is not in it. Forrest brings home sand from Lake Powell whenever he goes down there. Lake Powell sand is much softer than regular playground sand (it's also much stickier).

Lots of swimming at Opa and Oma's. Both of the boys have gained a lot of confidence in the water this year. It helps having family with a pool.

Mr. Grumpy.

That's better. (Notice how beautiful Opa & Oma's backyard is.)

We hadn't been to a drive-in movie for quite a while - and it was a blast. We saw the movie Despicable Me (it's a good one!).

The Gallivan Center hosted a Radio Disney Water Day. The kids rode a small train, played in water fountains, and ate snow cones. But I think the highlight of the day was riding TRAX around downtown to and from the Gallivan Center.

We spent the 4th of July with Suzette and her cute family. We had our own mini firework show in the backyard. The kids took turns picking out fireworks for the guys to light.

What a great summer. Your kids are growing up too fast...then again we are too:) Loved the part about Forrest bringing back sand from Lake Powell. What a great father.

Glad to see all the smiles and great events. Of course you still wow me with your photo and artistic skills. Tell everyone hi.
